Who founded Mynt Lab?

Why was Mynt Lab created?
After years of broken sleep, founder Michelle Tweddle discovered how much bedding fabric affects sleep quality. She created MyntFusion™ to solve the problems she couldn't find solutions for - overheating, restless nights, and waking up exhausted.
Our Fabric
What is MyntFusion™ fabric made from?
MyntFusion™ is our proprietary blend of TENCEL™ Lyocell and Naia™ fibres, derived from sustainably sourced eucalyptus and pine. The fabric is then infused with mint for active cooling. This combination delivers breathability, silky softness, and long-lasting durability.
Why is the fabric infused with mint?
Mint has natural cooling properties. We micro-encapsulate menthol within the fibres, which releases a gentle cooling sensation when it touches your skin. There's no scent - just a noticeably cooler, more comfortable sleep surface, especially for those who overheat at night.
Does the fabric have a scent?
No - there's no smell at all. Any natural aromas from the eucalyptus, pine, and mint are removed during processing. The fabric feels fresh and clean without any added fragrance.
Is MyntFusion™ good for sensitive or acne-prone skin?
Yes - MyntFusion™ is naturally hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive, reactive, and acne-prone skin. The smooth fibres reduce friction and irritation, while the antibacterial properties help keep your sleep surface cleaner between washes. It's also free from harsh chemicals and certified safe by OEKO-TEX®.
Is the fabric safe for pets?
Yes, MyntFusion™ is safe for pets. While eucalyptus can be toxic to animals in its natural form, the oil is removed during processing, eliminating any risk. Our products are crafted from non-toxic, plant-based materials, providing a gentle, clean surface that's safe for everyone in the household, including your furry friends.
Is MyntFusion™ good for hot sleepers and night sweats?
Yes - it's specifically designed for people who overheat at night. MyntFusion™ has been independently tested with a Q-max score of 0.34, which means it feels noticeably cooler to the touch than cotton. Combined with its breathable, moisture-wicking properties, it helps regulate your body temperature throughout the night.
How does MyntFusion™ compare to bamboo sheets?
Most "bamboo" bedding is actually bamboo viscose, made through a chemical-intensive process. MyntFusion™ uses a closed-loop production method that's gentler on the environment. It's also actively cooling (not just breathable), more resistant to pilling, and designed specifically to help with temperature regulation and skin comfort.

What if I don't sleep hot?
MyntFusion™ is temperature-regulating, not just cooling. It helps balance your body temperature throughout the night - so if you tend to feel cold, you won't wake up freezing. It keeps you comfortable without overheating.
Will your fitted sheets fit deep mattresses?
Yes! Our fitted sheets are designed with deep pockets to fit most mattresses, including thicker ones or those with mattress toppers. Depending on your bed size, the pockets range from 40-50cm deep, ensuring a snug and secure fit for deeper mattresses.
Does the sleep mask block out all light?
Yes - our sleep mask is designed for total blackout. The multi-layered padded design blocks light completely, including around the nose and cheeks, so you can rest in complete darkness.
Is the sleep mask comfortable for side sleepers?
Yes - the sleep mask is lightweight with a low-profile design, so it won't feel bulky or shift when you sleep on your side. The adjustable strap keeps it secure without adding pressure, and the soft padding sits comfortably against your face in any position.

Is your fabric biodegradable?
Yes - MyntFusion™ is made from 100% plant-based fibres, which are fully biodegradable at the end of their lifecycle.
How sustainable is your production process?
We use a closed-loop production process that recycles 99% of water and solvents, minimising waste and reducing emissions. This eco-conscious system allows us to create premium fabrics with minimal environmental impact.
Is your packaging eco-friendly?
Yes, our packaging is FSC-certified and plastic-free, made from recyclable materials to ensure it’s as eco-friendly as our products.
Where are your products made?
Our products begin their journey with sustainably sourced fibers. We source eucalyptus and pine wood from FSC- and PEFC-certified forests in Austria, the U.S., and Brazil. These raw materials are processed close to their sources to reduce transport emissions and environmental impact. Once processed, the fibres are shipped by sea to further minimise emissions, arriving at a mill near our manufacturing facility.
The final production steps are completed in our factory in China, which operates under strict ethical standards and is SEDEX-audited to ensure safe, fair working conditions and environmentally responsible practices.
Each product is designed in Melbourne, Australia, with a focus on combining luxury, sustainability, and durability.
Do you contribute to any environmental initiatives?
Yes - we're members of 1% for the Planet, which means we donate 1% of our annual revenue to environmental nonprofits focused on conservation, climate action, and sustainable development.
What certifications does Mynt Lab have?
Our fibres are sourced from FSC- and PEFC-certified forests, our fabric is OEKO-TEX® certified (tested free from harmful substances), and our factory is SEDEX-audited for ethical labour practices. Our packaging is also FSC-certified.

Product Care
How do I care for my items?
MyntFusion™ is designed for easy care — machine washable, dryer-safe, and resistant to pilling.
For best results:
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle
- Use a mild detergent (avoid fabric softener)
- Tumble dry on low or hang to dry
- Iron on low if needed
- Avoid bleach and dry cleaning
Does the mint infusion wash out?
No - the mint is embedded into the fibres using micro-encapsulation, not applied as a surface treatment. This means the cooling properties are designed to last through regular washing and use.
Can I iron or tumble dry the bedding?
Yes to both. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry. If you prefer to iron, use a low setting. The fabric is naturally wrinkle-resistant, so ironing is usually optional.
Will the fabric hold up over time?
Yes - MyntFusion™ is engineered for durability. The two-fibre blend resists pilling, maintains its softness, and holds its colour wash after wash. With proper care, your bedding will stay comfortable and perform well for years.
Will the fabric pill?
MyntFusion™ is highly resistant to pilling. The tight weave and durable fibre blend are designed to stay smooth wash after wash. We recommend washing on a gentle cycle and avoiding fabric softeners to keep them in best condition.
Do I need to wash my bedding before first use?
We recommend washing your bedding before first use. This removes any residue from the production process and helps the fibres fully soften. You'll notice it gets even softer after the first few washes.
Why shouldn't I use fabric softener?
Fabric softener leaves a coating on fibres that can reduce breathability and affect the cooling properties of MyntFusion™. The fabric is naturally soft - no softener needed.

How does pre-ordering work?
Pre-ordering allows you to reserve products before they're back in stock. Once your pre-order item is ready, we'll ship it and send you tracking information.
Please note: If your order includes both pre-order and in-stock items, your entire order will be held until the pre-order item is available. To receive in-stock items sooner, we recommend placing them as a separate order.

What is your return policy?
Our 60-Night Sleep Trial covers your first purchase of any full-priced bedding item. Use and wash your bedding for up to 60 nights - if you're not completely satisfied, return it for a full refund. For full details, visit our Sleep Trial page.
What is the 60-Night Sleep Trial?
The 60-Night Sleep Trial lets you try your bedding at home for up to 60 nights. If you're not satisfied, return it for a full refund.
Eligible items: Sheet sets, duvet covers, pillowcases, fitted sheets, and bundles (first purchase, full price).
Not eligible: Sleep masks, sale items purchased during promotional periods, final sale items and secondary purchases.

Do international orders qualify for the 60-Night Sleep Trial?
Yes, international orders are eligible for the 60-Night Sleep Trial; however, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Original delivery fees are non-refundable. To initiate a return, please email hello@myntlab.com.
Can I return items not covered by the 60-Night Sleep Trial.
Yes — unopened and unused items not covered by the Sleep Trial can be returned within 30 days of delivery for store credit or a refund. See our Shipping & Returns page for details.
Are sale items eligible for return?
Sale items purchased during promotional periods or marked as 'final sale' are final sale and not eligible for return, exchange, or refund - unless faulty or defective.
Why? Our Sleep Trial is designed to let you experience our bedding risk-free at full value. Sale pricing already reflects a significant discount, so we're unable to offer the same trial terms on these items.
This does not apply to:

Can I exchange an item?
Yes, if you'd like to exchange an unopened and unused item for a different size, colour, or product, please contact us at hello@myntlab.com. For change-of-mind exchanges, return postage is the responsibility of the customer.
What if my item is faulty or incorrect?
We apologise if you've received a faulty or incorrect item. Please contact us at hello@myntlab.com with your order number, a photo of the issue, and a brief description. We'll provide you with a prepaid return label and return instructions to resolve the issue promptly.
How do I start a return?
To start a return, email us at hello@myntlab.com with your order number. We'll send you instructions and (if applicable) a prepaid return label. For Sleep Trial returns, just let us know within 60 nights of delivery.
How are refunds processed?
Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 3-7 business days of receiving your return. Original delivery and return postage costs are non-refundable
What happens to returned products?
We never resell returned products that have been used or opened. Instead, all returned Mynt Lab items are donated to local charities.
