Mint-infused bedding does not mean a mint-scented bed. MyntFusion™ has no mint smell. Its eucalyptus, pine and mint-infused fabric is designed for a cooler feel, while MyntBalance™ uses 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell with a hint of mint for temperature-balancing comfort.
If the word mint makes you think of fragrance, it is worth checking the specific product rather than guessing. A material description, a scent and a measured fabric claim are different things. This guide explains what to look for, how the two Mynt Lab Collections differ and how to care for the bedding you choose.

What does mint-infused mean at Mynt Lab?
MyntFusion™ is our proprietary eucalyptus, pine and mint-infused blend. It belongs to the Cooling Collection, designed for people who prefer a cooler-feeling sleep surface.
MyntBalance™ belongs to the Balancing Collection. It is made from 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell with a hint of mint, with a soft matte finish and temperature-balancing feel. The Collections use different fabrics and should be compared on their own product details.
The word infused does not establish a particular manufacturing mechanism. It should not be read as a promise about fragrance release, skin receptors or a fixed number of washes. Check the stated fabric and its care instructions instead.
Does the bedding smell of mint?
MyntFusion™ does not smell of mint. You are choosing a fabric feel, not a scented textile that needs refreshing when an aroma fades. Do not add essential oils or fabric sprays to try to activate the material.
If scent is a concern, also consider your detergent and other laundry products. Follow the bedding label and use a mild detergent you are comfortable with. A plant-based description alone does not tell you whether a product suits a known sensitivity.
Cooling, freshness and washing are different
MyntFusion™ is 3× cooler than cotton and resists 99.7% of bacteria. These are claims about MyntFusion fabric. They do not apply to MyntBalance and do not promise that a sheet will control your bedroom temperature or treat a skin condition.
Antibacterial performance also does not remove body oils, skincare residue or everyday dirt. Keep washing your sheets and pillowcases regularly. A clean pillowcase is still part of normal care, even when the fabric has antibacterial properties.
Think about the rest of the bed too. A heavy duvet or warm mattress protector can affect comfort above and below a light sheet. Change one layer at a time so you can tell which adjustment you prefer.
Compare the two Collections
| Collection | Fabric | What to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Cooling, with MyntFusion™ | Proprietary eucalyptus, pine and mint-infused blend | Designed for hot sleepers. 3× cooler than cotton; resists 99.7% of bacteria. No mint scent. |
| Balancing, with MyntBalance™ | 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell with a hint of mint | A soft matte feel and temperature-balancing comfort. Choose it on its own fabric details rather than applying MyntFusion’s numerical claims. |
You do not need to replace every layer to try a different feel. A pillowcase or fitted sheet can be a manageable starting point. If you already know the fabric you like, a coordinated set can bring the pieces together.
Check fit and set contents before choosing
Measure the mattress, including any topper, and check its width, length and depth against the product chart. Standard and King pillowcases are different sizes, so compare the pillow measurements as well as the name on your bed.
- Fitted sheet set: a fitted sheet with pillowcases.
- Complete sheet set: a fitted sheet, flat sheet and pillowcases.
- Duvet cover set: a duvet cover with pillowcases; a duvet insert is separate.
Check the selected product for exact piece quantities, size and colour. A duvet cover set and complete sheet set are not interchangeable, even if both are described as bedding sets.
How to care for mint-infused bedding
MyntFusion and MyntBalance bedding can be machine washed on a gentle cycle at 30°C with mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softener. Give the sheets room to move instead of tightly filling the drum.
Line dry or tumble dry on low. Avoid high heat, and let the bedding dry fully before storing or putting it back on the bed. Always follow the label on the specific item; bedding instructions should not automatically be used for a padded sleep mask.
Wash before first use and keep a routine that suits how you use the bed. If pillowcases collect skincare or hair products quickly, keep a spare pair ready for a change between full sheet washes.
Common questions
Do I need to add mint or fragrance?
No. Use the bedding as supplied and follow its care instructions. MyntFusion’s mint description is not an instruction to add scent.
Does antibacterial fabric replace washing?
No. Washing removes the residue that builds up through normal use. Continue your regular bedding care routine.
Which Collection should I choose?
Start with your preferred feel. MyntFusion is designed for hot sleepers who want a cooler surface. MyntBalance offers a soft matte feel with temperature-balancing comfort. Compare pillowcases or the two Collections, then check the measurements before ordering.
Can bedding treat sensitive skin or sleep problems?
No fabric can make that promise. Choose a texture you enjoy and review the materials if you have a known sensitivity. Persistent skin or sleep concerns deserve individual advice from a qualified professional.
