From Forest to Fabric: Our Sustainable Journey

Forest

The journey of our fabric begins in responsibly managed eucalyptus and pine forests, where all wood is sourced according to globally recognised forest management certification schemes, such as FSC and PEFC. This means that every tree used in the production of our fabric comes from forests that are sustainably managed to protect biodiversity and forest health.

Wood

Once responsibly harvested, the wood is carefully selected for quality and sustainability. Only timber unsuitable for high-grade uses like furniture is repurposed, ensuring nothing goes to waste. This wood is prepared to meet high standards for sustainable textile production, serving as the base for our eco-friendly fibers. This practice conserves resources and aligns with our zero-waste commitment to environmental responsibility.

Pulp

Once the wood reaches the pulp processing stage, it is broken down using efficient methods that minimise waste and environmental impact. The pulp is processed near the forest source to reduce transportation emissions, contributing to a lower carbon footprint.

Fibre

Through an advanced, closed-loop system, the pulp is transformed into fibres. The innovative NMMO process, which uses a solution of N-methyl morpholine N-oxide, recycles 99% of the solvent, preventing harmful discharge into the environment. Additionally, 99% of the water used in fibre production is recovered and reused, emphasising resource conservation.

Yarn

The resulting fibres are spun into fine, durable yarns that embody the quality and softness expected of luxurious textiles. This stage of spinning fibres into yarn maintains our commitment to eco-friendliness and high-quality output. The resulting yarn forms the base of our premium, sustainable fabric.

Fabric

The yarns made from the TENCEL™ lyocell and Naia™ fibres are expertly woven together in precise ratios to create our signature fabric blend. These ratios have been meticulously developed to optimise breathability, durability, and luxurious softness. Once woven, the fabric is infused with mint for an added cooling effect, enhancing both the functionality and comfort of each piece.

Plant-Based Vegan Silk

100% Biodegradable

Closed-Loop Production

A closed-loop production system is used to create the fibres, conserving resources by recycling 99% of water and solvents used during manufacturing. This process dramatically reduces waste and emissions while ensuring that harmful chemicals don’t enter the environment.

Plastic-Free Packaging

All our packaging is crafted from FSC-certified cardboard and paper, free from plastics and made to be easily recyclable. This commitment ensures a low-impact journey from our hands to yours.

Non-Toxic Dyes

We use AVITERA® dyes, engineered for minimal environmental impact. These dyes are non-toxic and reduce water and energy usage during production, ensuring a vibrant and sustainable colour that’s gentle on both skin and the planet.
